I'm sure John Coltrane would love to see his influences come to fruition in such a beautiful way. The female pianist, who has completely digested Hampton Hawes and Barry Harris, is also very impressive. The lazy 8-beat tempo setting is also perfect. I love this kind of performance, where the groove gets deeper and deeper with each chorus.
Nice work. The recording, mastering audio work needs improvement, as it is distorting the players contributions. The Drumming is too mechanical.. uninspired, I'm Afraid.. Needs Lots of work & imagination. Too heavy handed.. Lots of Potential for further growth. Keep it up..!
